Are You Ready to Embrace Failure?
The pressure to succeed, especially in South Korean society, is a pervasive problem for many people in their 20s and 30s. Traditional standards of success are held in high esteem, but the failures along the way to these goals are often overlooked.
The social and psychological pressure of failing to achieve these goals contributes to the high suicide rate in our generation. While our culture theoretically recognizes that failure can be a catalyst for growth, there is a significant gap in the acceptance of this concept in practice.
Against this backdrop, I developed a website titled 'Imperfect Utopia' aimed at redefining failure for the 20-30 age demographic. The project*s core objective is to transform to be embraced as part of personal growth and development. Ultimately, it seeks to empower individuals to forge their definitions of success.
The 'Imperfect Utopia' website incorporates interactive elements reminiscent of a typical Korean room, offering users a blend of gaming, an anonymous forum for sharing and discussion, and a shopping experience. Through narrative, I look forward to embracing and integrating the psychological impact of social expectations and imperfection, while positively shifting the context and logic of failure.
